In the latest churning of the rumor mill, reports indicate that 29-year-old catcher Ron Hart of the New Jersey Shore could be on the trading block. While the player refused to comment, the team did not outright deny the claims. "If it'll help this team, we'll make a move," said one team official. |
 | Tuesday, May 20th, 2031: Jacks Star DTD with Injury
Nevada team officials speculated whether star shortstop Santo Tedesco would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a finger blister in yesterday's matchup with the Illinois Jethawks. Tedesco denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing.
In 2031 Tedesco is currently batting .299 with 3 home runs and 17 RBIs. In 46 games he has reached base at a .415 rate and scored 25 runs to date. |
 | Monday, May 19th, 2031: Dancey out of Action
Dave Dancey had to leave the Jacks game against Illinois after suffering a strained back muscle while running the bases. He will be out of the lineup at least 6-7 weeks. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
This season Dancey is batting .258 with 2 home runs. |
